We are pleased to announce that our 2019-2020 Little Theater production will be Purrlie's Mission to the Milky Way.  Patricia Haines-Ainsworth is back to direct another fun-filled student performance. Little Theater is a special experience for everyone involved. We are looking forward to a great show! Performances will be March 27 and 28, 2020.

PLEASE NOTE: Auditions will be held after school on January 29 and 30.

Little Theater is open to 1st, 2nd and 3rd grade students. 

COST: $85

Important Dates

Mandatory Parent Meeting: Tuesday, January 21, 5:30 pm

There will be a mandatory parent meeting on January 21, at 5:30 pm in the Dickinson Library. Little Theater requires that parents take on volunteer and chaperone responsibilities. 

Auditions: Wednesday and Thursday, January 29 & 30

Auditions for our Little Theater production of will be held after school. All students who are registered for Little Theater will audition for assigned roles. Students should be prepared to read or recite a few lines of something (poem, story, monologue) and sing a song (any song, Happy Birthday is fine) at their audition.

Rehearsals begin February 18 after Midwinter Break

Rehearsals begin February 18 and will be held MON, TUES, THURS, FRI, 3:50-5:30 pm.  Please note: there are NO WEDNESDAY rehearsals EXCEPT for week of show. Please refer to the director's schedule which will be provided to all parents and cast members.

Students who show up on dates they are not called will be sent home. If your students needs to miss a rehearsal for sickness, vacation, or other reasons, please notify the producers as early as possible.

Please send a healthy snack with your student. When not actively rehearsing, students should engage in a quiet activity such as reading or doing their homework. Students should be picked up at 5:30 pm. Parents must sign out their student upon pick up.

Volunteering

All parents are expected to help with the production. Our theater program cannot happen without the volunteers to assist with costumes, hair/makeup, props, set design, lighting and sound, ticketing, publicity, concessions, backstage and stage managers and chaperoning rehearsals.  VOLUNTEERING IS MANDATORY FOR YOUR CHILD TO PARTICIPATE IN LITTLE THEATER.

Chaperoning Rehearsals

Each Little Theater family will need to chaperone at least one rehearsal. Little Theater is a PTSA sponsored program therefore all parent chaperones must be PTSA members and approved LWSD volunteers. (Click HERE to join PTSA and visit LWSD to complete your application to volunteer.)
