GET READY, GET SET FOR OUR 2019 FUN RUN!

The Dickinson/Explorer Dreagle Dash fun run is our biggest fundraiser of the school year! Our second annual fun run, taking place after school on Friday, October 4, is a fun fitness activity for kindergartners through fifth graders. Students will run laps and aim for their personal best distance. Accommodations or assistance will be made available to make this event accessible for all our students.

Our aim is to create a community-building day for all, while raising money for our school. (Check out last year's video here!) Funds raised for the Dreagle Dash, as with all money raised by our PTSA, will go directly to our school to benefit our students. Targeted programs include science and math enrichment, Art Smart, choir, theater, enrichment programs, emergency preparedness, field trips, classroom supplies and much more!

We encourage all students to collect donations, but everyone is invited to join our fun run and post-run celebration on Friday, October 4, from 4 to 5 pm, regardless of whether you are able to donate or participate in fundraising. Show your support by joining in the fun, and thank you for being part of our school community!

With our combined efforts, we can continue to fund all of our invaluable programs and services! Read on below to find out how to register and participate.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE

1. Return permission form to your teacher or the main office by FRIDAY, September 20.
2. Register online at www.getmovinfundhub.com. Even if you collect cash and check donations, please complete online registration to help us track class participation.
3. Collect donations. Cash & checks preferred for 100% donation. Donation requests should be to family, friends and neighbors only. Please refrain from approaching strangers or going door-to-door; please do not allow your child to sponsor another child; and please do not ask teachers, staff or the principal to sponsor a child.
• Cash: Bills only, no coins
• Checks: Payable to "Emily Dickinson PTSA"
• Online: www.getmovinfundhub.com Online donation is an option mainly for family and friends not in the area. Please note that we are charged a processing fee of up to 15% for online donations, so cash and checks are preferred!
4. Return fundraising envelope to your teacher or the main office by MONDAY, September 30.
5. Attend the Dreagle Dash on FRIDAY, October 4!
• A parent or designated chaperone must attend the fun run with your child.

FUNDRAISING GOALS AND PRIZES

Our goal is for each child to raise $135! If you raise the suggested amount, and for every additional $25 raised, your child will receive a raffle ticket to win a prize. (Only one prize per child.) View the prize list.

Classes that raise over $2,000 will also win a special prize!

And, if we reach our school goal of $40,000, Seattle Seahawks mascot Blitz will visit Dickinson and Explorer!

ON DREAGLE DASH DAY

• On the day of the fun run, all students will receive a custom-designed Dreagle Dash T-shirt to coordinate with our 2020 Field Day colors, so please hang onto them to use in June!  
• Those who raise $135 or more will also receive their commemorative keychain and raffle ticket(s).
• Students staying for the fun run will be given a wristband to wear so we can easily identify them at the end of the day.
• Parents or chaperones will meet children out on the playground after school to attend the fun run. Instructions will be sent home closer to the event and will be posted on our website and Facebook page.
