Support our school library by donating a Celebration Book! This program gets new and exciting books into our school library AND honors your child’s special day (birthday, half-birthday, special award, holiday, etc). It's as easy as 1-2-3:
1) Click the link below to place your order. 2) Near the date of your child’s special day, your child will select a book from the Celebration Books bin in the library. 3) During your child’s library class, the book will be presented as a new addition to our library, and your child will be the first to check it out. A donation of $25 per book is suggested, and corporate matching is highly appreciated! You may request more than one book for your student; you can also do this for all of your children at once! Scholarships available. Please contact Kelly Williams at kewiliams@lwsd.org.

Art Smart is a PTSA sponsored program that brings art enrichment directly to the classrooms. Once a month, volunteer docents visit the classrooms to teach students elements of art and design while exploring a range of art techniques. Students are introduced to the work of great artists such as Leonardo da Vinci, Vincent Van Gogh, Mary Cassatt, Frida Kahlo, M.C. Escher, and Dale Chihuly, just to name a few. Student artwork is displayed in the hallways throughout the school year and highlights are showcased at the spring Art Walk. One or more volunteers per class are needed. Volunteers are not required to have an art background, just a love for helping children express their creativity. Curriculum and training support are provided.
